How to Buy Bitcoin at a Chicago Athena ATM

Tap Buy Bitcoin and verify your phone: enter your 10 digit number and the 6 digit code we text you. Choose your amount, select Scan Wallet QR Code, and show the receive QR from your wallet app. Insert your bills one at a time, review the summary on screen, hit Finish and keep your receipt.

Imposter scams are on the rise. Someone calls saying they are the police, a jury duty clerk, a government office or the IRS, and tells you to settle a fine or a bond in Bitcoin that day. It is not real. No court, agency or police department takes payment at a Bitcoin ATM, and Athena will never call, text or email you asking for a wallet address or a payment.
